Do not forget!

“In that day man will have regard for his Maker
And his eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 17:7)

Bible Reading: Isaiah 15-17

Man’s tendency is to take pride in himself.
He is his own god as he chooses his own way.
He delights in his own ways and have become proud of all he’s done.
These chapters are about Moab and Damascus and their prophecied fall.
They have sought and worshipped other gods
and have done the abominations,
but on that day when God’s judgment would fall,
they would know that there is only one God.
He is the one who punishes the proud.

In our lives, we tend to be our own god.
We know and believe in the Lord
and yet we still do things our own way and have most of the time forgotten Him.

I forget when I am busy, or I forget when I look at how attractive the present is,
which is temporary and forget the future which is eternal.
I forget that He is in control, and I can only do much.
The Lord is a righteous God,
and He punishes us and teaches us to Know that He is still in control
when we are proud of ourselves.

Prayer:
Lord, please help me listen to you always and do what you say.
Help me to see all things as temporary and are nothing
compared to the joy you have set before me.
Please Help me to always remember you, my Maker, my God, and my All.
